What does our doona dry cleaning involve?

Inspect fabric & filling
We check the doona's fabric and filling. Sometimes the care instructions don't match what we know works best, so we use our expertise to make the right call.

Inspect for stains
We examine the doona carefully for any stains.

Treat stains
We apply specific treatments to each stain.

Dry clean (or wet clean)
We dry clean using a process tailored to the doona's materials - or wet clean, if washing is the better option for the filling.

Air dry overnight
The doona is left to air dry completely overnight.

Pack for delivery
We pack your doona securely, ready for delivery.
Wash or dry clean?
Is washing a doona the same as dry cleaning it?
Whether to wash or dry clean a doona depends largely on its fabric and filling. Wool blends may shrink and clump in water, while feather doonas need dry cleaning to keep the natural oils in the feathers.
The main difference when washing a doona is that we use a wet cleaning method instead of dry cleaning in step 4 - everything else stays the same.
